After graduating from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine with academic and humanitarian distinction, Dr. Larian completed a six-year residency program in Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA, where he had extensive training in treatment of head & neck tumors. This training focused on diagnosing and managing complex tumors and cancers in the neck, the complications caused by these tumors, and repairing these complications. This experience allowed him to have a deep and extensive understanding of not only the anatomy of the neck, but also consequences of disease in this very delicate area of the body. From there, he went on to become the medical director of the Head and Neck Center of Excellence at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles from November 2009 to October 2011. He currently serves as the Clinical Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Together with Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, Dr. Larian is the editor of the upcoming textbook “Parotid Surgery & Reconstruction” to be published in the Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America. This much anticipated textbook is expected to be the preeminent book in its field.
The recipient of numerous awards and honors, including being named one of the Top Doctors in the field of ENT by U.S. World and News Report, Dr. Larian has cultivated a reputation as the most respected and knowledgeable parotid surgeon available. As such, he has been sought out by several media outlets to educate others about parotid surgery, including The Doctors and ABC 7 News.
