In addition to Dr. Azizzadeh’s facial nerve expertise, Dr. Larian has unparalleled experience in completely removing parotid tumors. So that the parotid tumor does not return, Dr. Larian removes the entire tumor, as well as small amount of the normal parotid gland tissue. Due to his years and years of experience, Dr. Larian knows exactly how much tissue needs to be removed to ensure the tumor will not return and potentially turn into cancer. Finally, we perform immediate parotid and facial reconstruction to avoid any facial deformity. Our team of surgeons will evaluate the area of defect and determine which reconstruction technique is best for you. Not only will our immediate facial reconstruction create facial harmony and balance, but it also protects the facial nerve and prevent Frey’s Syndrome (unwanted facial sweating).
